DEFINE YOUR INTERIOR: Style Sheet Series, Part I

Classic Luxe? Industrial Chic? Updated Art Deco? Modern Italian? International? We explore an array of interior design styles in a new series with the intensely talented Jessica Lynn Williams, who crafted this original “style sheet” featuring the oh-so-versatile Sloan sofa. After a stint in Chicago, where she sharpened her design pencil at Nate Berkus Associates, Francine Turk and Buckingham Interiors + Design, the Maryland native packed up and moved back east to pursue an interior design degree from Parsons in N.Y.

Describing herself as a creative thinker and color enthusiast, Jessica layers art and objects to tell a cohesive but eclectic story. For the first installment in the series, we asked Jessica to draw inspiration from an urban family with midcentury inclinations. The result is a cultured, “collected” environment that tells your individual story and demonstrates the potential of uniquely-styled spaces paired with the perfect custom sofa or chair. Follow our collaboration at #jlw+interiordefine and become inspired.

Interior Define Sloan

The 2-seat Sloan sofa is the perfect fit for a city-dwelling family, where comfort, style and appropriate scale share the highest importance in the home. With details like soft corners, full cushions and durable fabric options, it lends itself to a kid- (and pet!) friendly lifestyle. The simple, sleek metal legs and neutral color make for a blank canvas on which to build with vintage accents, art and throw pillows—which Sloan welcomes with open arms, obviously.
